I’ve spent most of my adult years nursing what could be seen as an above-average obsession with process. When process is your partner in crime (and you live with a desperate need to please), it’s a comfort that the path to success is clearly outlined and outcomes are measurable. There’s usually a trusted step-by-step template and an “if it ain’t broke” orthodoxy that assures you the end is in sight before you’ve even begun.
